Krispy Kreme to rollout in UK
US doughnut chain, Krispy Kreme, has announced that it intends to open another 24 stores in the UK and Ireland within the next five years.
The company opened its first European outlet in London’s Harrods department store last year.
As yet, no more details have been announced regarding the UK store rollout, but it is expected to happen one site at a time.
Originating in North Carolina, where the first Krispy Kreme store opened in 1937, the brand currently sells around 5 million doughnuts a day in the US alone and has over 300 stores in 41 states in America, plus Canada and Australia. Details: www.krispykreme.co.uk
