Kroenke further increases Arsenal stake
US businessman Stan Kroenke is on the verge of triggering a formal takeover bid for Arsenal Football Club (AFC) after upping his stake in the Premier League club to 29.6 per cent.
Kroenke has acquired an additional 427 ordinary shares at a cost of £3.6m, which leaves him just 0.3 per cent short of the 29.9 per cent threshold at which he must make an offer for the remaining shares.
