L.A Fitness aims to retain
L.A Fitness is introducing a new initiative aimed at encouraging new members to stick with their New Year fitness resolutions.
L.A Intro, which begins next month, is a programme specifically tailored towards retaining new members initial attendance and moral. Each new member is given a one to one medical screening and needs analysis to identify specific goals, plus a club tour and four instructor sessions in the first six weeks. As well as this, members will receive a taster class of their choice.
Research claims that over 40 per cent of people who join a fitness club start to drop out after six weeks, so to combat this L.A Intro provide a four and six week review consultation to keep new members motivated.
We want to change our company culture so we're not just concentrating on getting new members through the door, but on really working on increasing their likelihood of maintaining an exercise programme, said group retention manager, Elaine Coulthard.
