LA Fitness teams up with Weight Watchers
Weight Watchers and LA Fitness have announced a new activity partnership, which is designed to help a total of more than 1.2 million UK members adopt healthier lifestyles.
The 12-month venture will offer complimentary support in activity and healthy eating advice and aims to use the forthcoming 2012 Games to inspire people to become more active.
Meanwhile, the partnership will also see LA Fitness creative director Alesha Dixon work in conjunction with both groups to help members achieve weight loss and fitness targets.
Weight Watchers UK senior vice president Andrew Knight said: "Exercise has always been a key pillar of the Weight Watchers approach, and by working with LA Fitness we are reinforcing the importance of being active to all our members.
"With the Olympic Games ahead of us, there has never been a better time to be inspired to be more active."
LA Fitness chief executive officer Martin Long added: "We believe there are some real synergies with our businesses and moving forward we will be in an even stronger position to help more people lead a healthier lifestyle and achieve sustained weight loss."
