L’Auberge Del Mar spa nears completion
An extensive US$25m (16.9m euro, £12.1m) renovation is nearing completion at the Southern Californian L’Auberge Del Mar Resort and Spa in San Diego in the US.
The hotel, which is managed by the Destination Hotels & Resorts group and located in the small village of Del Mar, will reopen in June while the hotel’s new 4,500sq ft (418sq m) spa will debut in December.
Designed by Blu Spas Inc, The Spa at L’Auberge will be located outside the south wing of the hotel and be open to the public as well as hotel guests.
Featuring 10 treatment rooms and multiple indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, the spa will boast aromatic steamrooms, men’s and women’s rejuvenation facilities and a complimentary wine bar.
There will also be a private couple’s suite with a garden, day bed and a soaking tub.
The Spa at L’Auberge will be under the direction of Jeanette Handson. It will offer a wide range of services including massages and facial treatments, using predominantly organic produce such as red coral, yuchaya oil and sweet jasmine. Details: laubergedelmar.com
