LED plans Phear Park revamp
Leisure East Devon (LED) has applied for £200,000 worth of funding to improve tennis facilities at Phear Park.
The leisure trust, which manages several Exmouth leisure facilities on behalf of the council, plans to build three new competition standard tennis courts as well as a multi sports area for basketball, netball and soccer.
LED has earmarked £50,000 from its charitable fund and has applied to the Exmouth Sports Fund for a grant of £75,000. It has also been offered matched funding for the tennis courts from the Lawn Tennis Association, which would then secure the £200,000 required.
