LFX heads north to explore the future of fitness in Scotland
LFX, the business network for UK fitness industry professionals, is to stage its first event in Scotland to assess the nature of the country’s fitness landscape.
The event, which will be held at the Village Urban Resort in Glasgow on 10 November, aims to provide a platform for fitness professionals to network, share ideas and solve problems.
Fitness personality and The Apprentice star Katie Bulmer-Cooke will lead the headline debate, titled ‘The Future of Fitness in Scotland’. The discussion will look at where the sector is heading and what challenges must be overcome to achieve long-term goals.
“When it comes to networking and professional events, leisure managers are well catered for in Scotland so for me the natural progression was to focus on fitness,” LFX founder Graeme Hinde told Health Club Management.
“What I really hope to do is build a network of forward-thinking professionals, the future leaders of our industry. I want them to have a voice and to shape the future of fitness in Scotland and beyond”.
Other items on the agenda of the invitation-only event include performance management; the links between swimming and fitness; and how to overcome commercial challenges.
