Land Securities acquires Nottingham leisure development
By Pete Hayman
The Cornerhouse, the only purpose-built leisure development in the centre of Nottingham, is to be acquired by Land Securities in an off-market transaction worth £50m.
Land Securities has now exchanged contracts with BP Pension Fund for the deal, with a 14-screen Cineworld cinema, a nightclub and a casino among the facilities at the 225,000sq ft (20,903sq m) complex.
"The Cornerhouse is a vibrant destination in Nottingham city centre featuring a range of key brands," said Land Securities executive director Richard Akers.
