Langham to open luxury hotel in Shanxi, China
Hotel operator Langham Hospitality Group is set to open a luxury hotel in Shanxi, China in 2014.
Langham was signed a management agreement with Huatang Grand Hotel Company – which owns the property - to operate the property in Datong.
Located in Yudong New Area, Langham Place, Datong will feature 293 guestrooms including 37 suites.
Langham's signature Chuan Spa will offer a holistic range of wellness treatments based on the philosophies of traditional Chinese medicine. The spa will include private treatment and relaxation rooms, as well as water and heat therapies.
A swimming pool and fitness centre will also be on offer.
Dining options include the hotel group's Michelin-starred restaurant concept, Ming Court.
The hotel will house a ballroom, meeting rooms and banqueting venues.
Langham Place, Datong will join the groups Langham Place and Eaton Luxe in Rio Carnival, Qingdao which will launch next year. Langham currently operate 17 hotels across China.
