Lavender buys Camelot theme park hotel
The Park Hall Hotel, adjacent to the Camelot theme park in Lancashire, has been acquired by Lavender Hotels.
The theme park was put into receivership last month by its owner, Prime Resorts, and the future of the park still remains unclear, but 80 jobs have been saved as a result of the hotel deal.
Lavender Hotels, is owned by Lakeside Collection, and bought the hotel from administrators Grant Thornton.
Lakeside Collections’s owner Stefan Sikorski said: “Park Hall Hotel fits perfectly into our group’s portfolio and we are delighted to complete the purchase.
“From our initial discussions with the receivers, it quickly became clear that the hotel had similar facilities and strategies to our existing hotels and leisure clubs and we look forward to building on its reputation.”
Grant Thornton is still looking for buyers for the theme park itself.
