Le Méridien moves into Cambodia
Hotel and resort group Le Méridien is to open a new 5-star resort in Cambodia next week.
Opening on 15 September, the 223-bedroom Le Meridien Angkor is the latest in a string of five-star hotel openings in Cambodia as a result of an increase in demand for the country by luxury travellers.
Situated a kilometre from the city centre and 6km from the World Heritage site of the Angkor Wat temples, the hotel’s bedrooms will be designed in an Asian style with dark teak wood features, white walls and spiritual Buddha statues.
Six restaurants and bars will offer a choice of dining options ranging from Northern Italian and Asian to international, and the hotel will also boast a fitness centre and spa treatments including a Foot Spa. Details: www.lemeridien.com
