Leicester venue report uncovers 'failures'
Leicester City Council (LCC) has vowed to act after an internal report into the running of the city's De Montfort Hall found financial and management "failures".
According to the BBC, the council's audit report uncovered no evidence of wrongdoing, although an examination of a number of documents revealed that accounting procedures had not been followed. LCC director of cultural services Richard Watson told the BBC: "There is no denying that mistakes have been made and we have developed a comprehensive improvement plan covering whole range of areas identified in the audit report to put things straight."
