Leisure Sports has joined forces with Marriott International once again to develop a second Renaissance ClubSport Hotel.

Located in Aliso Viejo, Orange County, California, the resort will be styled on the successful Renaissance ClubSport Hotel & Fitness Resort in Walnut Creek, California, which was named by Marriott International as it’s Best New Product for 2003.

The second ClubSport will also be managed by Leisure Sports, which develops and operates high-end sports clubs and hotels in California, Nevada and Oregon and currently serves more than 30,000 members.

The six-acre site will include a 175-room hotel and a 67,300sq ft membership-based sports club with a gym, basketball, volleyball, racquetball and squash courts and group exercise studios led by top area and celebrity instructors.

Three swimming pools, a whirlpool, bocce courts and a garden patio will be included in an outdoor aquatic area.

A childcare centre will offer supervised childcare, fitness and sporting activities, arts and crafts and other educational programs, and a range of youth classes, camps and holiday events will be also be available. The resort will also offer a full-service day spa.

Construction of the resort is due to get underway by the end of the year, with an opening planned for early 2006.
