Leisure businesses up for awards
Three new leisure companies have been nominated for the Startups Awards 2007.
Jamie Cartwright, managing director of women only gym Ladyzone has been shortlisted for the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, while Ember Leisure has been shortlisted for the Franchisee of the Year Award.
SportStars, which provides coaching for children aged between 4 and twelve, has been shortlisted for two awards, the Team of the Year Award and the Community Impact Award.
The awards are organised by Startups, a website designed to provide support for new businesses, in conjunction with NatWest.
Set up in 2004, the awards recognise successful new companies that employ less than 60 staff.
