Leisure entrepreneur to sell fitness equipment by blind auction

Leisure industry entrepreneur Daniel Jones has left his role as sales director of Physique Sports to launch two new companies to the UK fitness sector.

The first is WeBuyAnyGymEquipment.Com (WBAGE) – a new way for gym owners to trade in their old gym equipment. The equipment is put into a blind auction with qualified traders bidding against each other, thereby securing the best price for gym owners.

The second is leisure consultancy The Gym Designer, which focuses on gym and changing facility design for new gym owners coming into the market. In addition to design, the service offers a comprehensive supply chain encompassing everything from equipment leasing to flooring, software to staff training, direct debit collection to energy consultancy.

Jones told Health Club Management: “I've been involved in gym equipment, design, sales and procurement in my last three roles, and I felt now was time to take that experience and branch out to offer the industry something a bit different.

"The two new companies offer distinct but complementary services for existing gym owners and budding new gym owners coming into the market.”

Jones previously worked at both Safe Space Lockers and Physique Sports as sales director. Prior to that, he worked at Amer Sports (2003–2009), while his early career was spent in health club operations at Holmes Place and British Airways (Complete Fitness).
