Life Fitness has launched three new core training products, the Back Extension, Leg Raise and Ab Crunch Bench all allowing the user to perform a wide variety of progressive exercises.

Arron Williams, Life Fitness Academy Manager, says: “The core training zone has become the fastest growing space in health and fitness clubs around the world, with most gyms now looking to offer a lot more than just a few mats and a couple of Swiss balls tucked away in the corner.

“The Life Fitness core training products offer the user an array of exercise alternatives suitable for someone new to exercise right through to the elite athlete in training for a demanding sports competition.”

Conforming to the user's back position, the back pad support on the Leg Raise provides more effective stabilisation throughout the range of motion, reported to make the exercise comfortable and easy to perform.

The Back Extension machine bends the user's trunk at 45? for working the back extensors throughout their full range of motion, and the Ab Crunch Bench - featuring the Ab Cam™ system - minimises hip flexion and maximises abdominal contraction. The integrated weight horn on the bench enables the exerciser to easily add more resistance.

By incorporating flexion, extension and rotation movements to the exercises carried out on each machine, the user can experience a wide variety of progressive exercises.

Williams explains: “The addition of a medicine ball, a twist of the trunk, lengthened levers (eg. bent legs to straight legs), or even using one leg at a time, can add a whole new dimension to the workout, providing an even greater challenge for users.

“And because each piece of equipment offers so many options, keeping even the most experienced exerciser challenged, operators will find them extremely cost-effective as well as space efficient.”
