US country club operator, Life Time, has launched its own AI coach, called L•AI•C.

Available through its app, L•AI•C, pronounced "lay-see", delivers science-backed guidance for fitness and health from approved sources.

The AI coach has been built in partnership with Microsoft and powered by Azure AI Foundry. It delivers personalised support for curated, trainer-led workouts, nutrition and supplement guidance, class recommendations, and more.

The insights come from Life Time’s trusted resources, rather than random places on the internet. Over time, it will also integrate users' wearable device data and behavioural insights, making it an ever more valuable resource.

"We've remained relentlessly committed to ongoing innovation and adaptation, and L•AI•C is the next frontier in delivering highly personalised, trusted support whenever our app users need it," said Life Time Founder, chairman and CEO, Bahram Akradi.

"Just as we continue expanding our athletic country club portfolio, so we're equally committed to enhancing our member experience through technology to complement their personal healthy way of life journeys. L•AI•C is a trusted AI companion that they can take with them anywhere they go."

The Life Time app is also evolving, with more access to classes, meditation on-demand, custom health programmes and thousands of editorial articles from Life Time's Experience Life magazine, including recipes, product recommendations, podcasts and pickleball training videos.
