Lifeguards' bad hair day with Celebrity Scissorhands
Two of Freedom Leisure's lifeguards raised more than £100 for BBC Children in Need last week by undergoing body waxing and crazy haircuts at the hands of celebrity hairdresser 'apprentices'.
Hadley Bourner and Tom Miller took part in a sports-themed day at the Celebrity Scissorhands salon, letting Scott Robinson, from boyband Five, and TV-presenter, DJ, comedian and actor, Jeff Leach loose on their hair. "As I lay in the chair having my chest waxed," said Bourner, "Scott said he would love to get his hands on my thick hair to give me a short back and sides - a crazy Mohican was the result! But it was all in a good cause."
The events was shown on BBC3 on 29 October. Other participants included Beijing medal winners, fencers and a female rugby team.
