Linthwaite House Hotel added to Condé Nast Traveller Gold List for 2006
Linthwaite House Hotel, a long-standing member of the BHA, has been added to the Conde Nast Traveller Gold List for the first time.
The 27-bedroom hotel in Bowness-on-Windermere, Cumbria, was selected under the category of Best Location.
It joins 17 other hotels from the UK in the exclusive collection of recommended hotels, and is the only hotel listed in the north of England.
Mike Bevans, owner of Linthwaite House Hotel, said, “We were obviously delighted to be included in these highly prestigious awards.
“The reason we fell in love with Linthwaite House Hotel in the first place was because of the amazing location and views of England’s most beautiful region – the Lake District.”
He added: “This is an amazing accolade and should bring us some very high quality business. To the discerning traveller, Condé Nast award hotels are exclusive collectibles.”
Other BHA member hotels included in the Gold List 2006 include Gleneagles, Bath Spa Hotel, Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Chewton Glen and One Aldwych.
