Little Gym Kensington opens
The latest site in the Little Gym franchise has opened in the new £1.6bn mixed-use development, Westfield London, in Shepherd's Bush.
The Little Gym Kensington (LGK) delivers activities that develop motorskills and a curriculum-based gymnastics programme for children aged from four months to 12 years old.
The programme is designed to boost self-esteem while building physical, social and intellectual skills. Weekly themed activities, delivered by qualified instructors, promote co-ordination, balance, rhythm and flexibility.
Monica Pastor, director of LGK, said: "Already, nearly 2,500 children across the UK are partaking in The Little Gym programme. We're looking forward to making a big difference to a lot more children in and around Kensington."
The standard floor area for a Little Gym is between 3,500 - 4,000 sq ft and offers a varied package of gym equipment.
It is the fourth centre to open in London. Three more Little Gyms are scheduled to launch next year in Windsor, Harpenden and Harrogate followed by Buckinghamshire, Basingstoke, Guildford, Hampstead, Weybridge and Winchester.
The Little Gym was established in 1976 and is offered in over 300 locations in 19 different countries.
