Little Gym hunting for London site
As part of a European roll-out plan, American children's fitness chain, The Little Gym, is looking to break into the UK market.
The 100-strong chain, founded in 1976, is looking for a site around the Putney, Wandsworth, Chelsea or Fulham areas, and eventually aims to open up to ten sites in London, as well as more franchises throughout the UK.
The Little Gym offers curriculum based programmes for children aged four months to 12 years, which are designed to develop their motor skills and realise their physical, intellectual, social and emotional potential. Weekly classes feature gymnastics, music, games, exploration and imagination, while special programmes include school holiday day camps, Karate, birthday parties and parent survival nights.
Little Gym already has clubs in Belgium, France and the US, with 33,000 children attending classes every week. There are plans to expand into Spain, Portugal, Sweden, The Netherlands, Greece and Kuwait.
