Littlehampton Marina in West Sussex has changed hands.

Acting on behalf of the joint administrators of Littlehampton Sailing & Motor Club, property agents Christie + Co sold the leasehold interest of the marina to a local investor for an undisclosed sum. Located in Rope Walk, which runs along the west bank of the River Arun across the river from the main town, the marina site is about 3.7 acres in total and features an 84-berth marina with boat storage facilities, three temporary buildings, a static caravan that is used as a club house, and a number of new and old pontoons.

The new owners plan to redevelop the marina - held on a 50-year lease from 2005 - in accordance with the original planning permission providing improved berthing and on-shore facilities.
