Livewell initiative for kids launched in the US
More than 15,000 restaurant locations from 19 chains have come together to create a US-wide Kids LiveWell programme.
Launched recently, and including chains such as Burger King, the scheme is designed to combat childhood obesity by providing healthy kids' menu options.
Kids LiveWell meals must be under 600 calories, with two or more servings of fruit, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein or low-fat dairy, as well as limited sugar and sodium content.
The menu must also order at least one other individual item of 200 calories or less, and all healthy items must be visibly promoted.
