Local authority receives one bid to operate Felixstowe's Spa Pavilion
Suffolk Coastal District Council (SCDC) has received just one bid for the management of Felixstowe's Spa Pavilion arts venue, despite an "extensive campaign" to secure a new operator.
The local authority, which will now carry out a full appraisal of the sole submission, is looking to secure the long-term future of the facility as a self-supporting leisure and entertainment venue.
It comes after SCDC agreed to end its contract with current operator Openwide Coastal early next year due to being unable to afford the continued financial commitment required.
