Lollipop's opens in Canberra
Children's entertainment centre Lollipop's Playland & Café has opened the latest of its 14 Australian sites in Canberra's Brand Depot.
Facilities include a huge adventure climbing playframe, bouncy castles, ball pits, ride on cars and toys, a merry go round, party rooms and educational computer games. There is also a café for waiting parents. The pay for play operation caters for children aged 0 to 11 years old and offers casual play and birthday parties.
Upon entry into Lollipop's, each child and parent receives matching ID wrist bracelets, which are inspected upon exiting to ensure that children cannot leave without their parents. Lollipop's was started in 1993 by Alan and Rose Grant in Hamilton, New Zealand and has since welcomed more than nine million children to its sites in Australia and New Zealand.
