London Clubs plans a Rendezvous in Glasgow
London Clubs International has received planning permission to develop an £8m casino at Springfield Quay on the south side of the Clyde in Glasgow.
The Rendezvous Casino would be the largest casino in Scotland, boasting several themed bars and speciality restaurants as well as gaming tables.
Director of LCI, Bill Timmins, said: “I’m convinced The Rendezvous will be seen as another prestigious symbol of 21st century Glasgow. Glasgow’s city fathers deserve unstinting praise for their vision and how they are breathing life into the Clydeside. We believe The Rendezvous will add to their exciting plan.”
The regeneration of the waterfront site has already seen the introduction of a cinema, bingo hall, ten-pin bowling and restaurants
Provided the council’s licensing board grants a licence, work on the casino will start next year with opening scheduled for 2006.
LCI said the development would create more than 200 jobs, with around half of those receiving new skills training. Details: www.clublci.com
