London TV goes 24-7
London has today (20 September) become the first city in the world to boast its own 24-hour TV channel.
Created and funded by tourism body Visit London, the channel is produced by Enteraction TV and cost around £2m to set up.
In its first week, the channel’s broadcasts will include a number of celebrities – such as Loyd Grossman and Benjamin Zephaniah -– speaking about their favourite haunts in the city.
The channel is available on Sky Entertainment channel 244 and aims to promote London and its attractions for overseas visitors as well as Londoners. Details: www.golondon.com or www.visitlondon.com
