London's recovery praised by Lonely Planet
London has been called “one of the most tolerant cities on the planet” by the fifth edition of the Lonely Planet guidebook to the capital.
While the Tube network was called “horrendously overpriced” and “extreme crowding” in rush hour drawn attention to, overall, the guidebook authors found much to recommend in the city, citing positives including a huge range of restaurants, a thriving clubbing scene and some of the world’s best theatres.
The authors were also resolute that the capital had successfully bounced back from the July terror attacks. Details: www.lonelyplanet.com
