Loughborough University spin-out company, Progressive Sports Technologies Ltd, has secured an exclusive licensing deal with Reebok via a collaboration with Reebok Fitness Equipment Ltd.

Progressive’s collaboration with Reebok Fitness marks the end of a two-year R&D project to develop a reconfigurable exercise platform known as The Deck.

The Deck offers a total body workout for home or gym use and the Reebok University’s team of sports scientists is currently working on programming for the new platform in time for its launch early in 2004.

Progressive has wide expertise in concept generation, prototyping and user evaluation and has developed systems to evaluate the commercial potential of new technologies.

The company aims to become the preferred innovation partner to the world’s leading sports and fitness brands, supplying innovative concepts to enable them to maintain their competitive edge.
