Loughlinstown gets 8m euro leisure centre
An 8m euro swimming pool and leisure centre has opened in Loughlinstown, Dublin with facilities to meet the needs of users with disabilities.
The revamped facility includes three new artificial pitches, a reception area, changing village, coffee shop, beauty salon, children's play area and improved parking facilities.
It has also been repainted and revamped throughout.
Speaking at the opening councillor Tom Joyce said: "The centre has been redesigned to meet the particular needs of the physically and visually impaired including large changing cubicles, disabled toilets, wheelchair shower and easy accessible steps for pool entry.
"The changing area has a state of the art mobile hoist which will assist in bringing customers from the changing area directly into the swimming pool."
The development officially opened on 3 May and was delivered on time and within budget.
