Luxury hotel planned for Georgia
A 200-bedroom, 22,000sq m luxury hotel is being planned for the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park in Abastumani, Georgia.
Located on the southern slope of the Meskheti Range, the Aghobili Hotel has been designed by Danish firm Henning Larsen Architects in collaboration with consulting engineers Buro Happold.
Aghoboli, which will integrate part of an existing hotel, will also boast conferencing facilities, a spa with mineral water pools and a swimming pool.
Anders Park, project manager for Henning Larsen, said: "The conceptual design of the new Aghobili Hotel is rooted in the rich history and stunning landscape of Abastumani.
"The hotel has a discrete expression and appears as a natural extension of the landscape. Each room will have an uninterrupted view of the magnificent Meskheti Range."
The hotel will follow a strategy designed to reduce the demand for energy low conversion and distribution losses and generating energy from renewable sources.
