Luxury spa development for Palace Luzern
The Palace Luzern hotel in Switzerland will be opening an 8,611sq ft (800sq m) spa in July.
Featuring six treatment rooms, the Palace Spa has been designed by Bern-based architect Max Schmid in association with E’Spa. Facilities will include a sauna, steam room, lifestyle shower, fitness room, an ice fountain and a relaxation area.
An extensive range of therapies will be offered such as facials, body wraps, massages, reflexology, hydrotherapy and ayurveda with products blended to meet individual needs.
The spa is part of an ongoing £6m (US$11.5m, E8.7m) renovation programme at the Luzern hotel, which will celebrate its centenary in 2006.
As part of the renovation, a private, two-person spa in the hotel’s turret is also being constructed, with panoramic views across Lake Lucerne complete with a sauna, steam room, whirlpool for two and treatment tables.
Redevelopment work will be completed by July. Details: www.palace-luzern.ch
