Luxury spa for Saudi Arabian site
A SAR2bn (US$0.53bn, 0.39bn euro, £0.27bn) skyscraper development, called Lamar Towers, is to be built in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The site consists of 58- and 65-storey residential towers, joined by a 13-storey retail building, and is located on the seaside in the Northern Corniche area.
Each of the residential towers will include a luxury spa, swimming pools, gyms, beauty salons and a health club.
The project will be handled by Cayan Development and Investments, responsible for the Infinity Tower at Dubai Marina in the UAE. The main architect is RMJM, with Saudi Diyar also on board as consultants.
Construction on Lamar Towers will start in two months and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2010.
