MCC launches new-look Lord's academy
Marylebone Cricket Club's (MCC) has announced the reopening of its cricket academy at Lord's Cricket Ground, London, following the completion of a two-month refurbishment.
Work has been carried out to ensure the MCC Cricket Academy remains one of the best in the world, with improvements including upgraded lighting and a new Supergrasse surface.
The installation of new netting and a "deep" clean of the high level sails and steelwork also featured as part of the revamp of the venue, which is available to elite and amateur players.
Meanwhile, Lord's Cricket Ground has been confirmed as the UK's number one sporting venue, according to BDRC Continental's VenueVerdict.
It was also revealed that the stadium had the highest Net Promoter Score of eligible venues across the UK, following the end-of-year assessment by the research consultancy.
