MD Revolution launching web-based health service
MD Revolution (MDR) is rolling out a subscription service for its proactive, personalised health care service.
The San Diego-based company carries out multiple tests measuring heart rate, blood pressure, body fat percentage and several other health and fitness details as well as conducting a DNA analysis to create a personalised profile.
Once the profile is created, using mobile health technology, MDR can show users how healthy they are at present and how healthy they can be using a simple score scale.
The mobile technology is designed for people to keep track of their own scores in an effort to make their own lifestyle changes to try and improve their total, while also receiving personalised feedback and coaching.
The subscription-based service Rev Up can not only benefit system users, but it also allows employers and physicians to monitor progress as well.
So far the system, which is going to be rolled out across America, has helped 250 patients improve their heart health and lose weight.
MDR, partnered with Qualcomm, 23andMe and Pathway Genomics, has raised US$1.6m (£1m, €1.2m) in start-up capital and has named Sharp Healthcare and Pharmatek among its corporate clients.
