MOHG appoints yield manager for spa
The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG) has appointed a yield manager to oversee its spa directors.
Spa operations manager Kiki Osada has taken on the additional post of group yield manager. The role has been created to help manage spending and staff scheduling in the group’s spa portfolio, as well as streamlining treatment menus and increasing revenues.
Other news from MOHG includes the announcement of two new resort and spa properties, one on Dellis Cay in the Turks and Caicos, and the other on the Caribbean island of St Kitts.
MOHG Dellis Cay, in the British West Indies, will open in 2009 with a 22,000sq ft (2,043sq m) spa, built over a lake and designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. The spa will have 15 treatment rooms and an outdoor watsu pool.
Meanwhile, the 125-room Mandarin Oriental St Kitts will open in 2010, featuring a 15,000sq ft (1,393sq m) spa with 11 treatment rooms.
