Maidenhead regeneration plans unveiled
A public consultation into plans for the long-term regeneration of Maidenhead, Berkshire, has been launched by the local authority and the Partnership for the Rejuvination of Maidenhead (PRoM).
PRoM and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead council (RBWM) are seeking comments from local residents on a number of proposals, including how to create a more attractive town centre with improved green spaces. Other plans that form part of the consultation, which closes on 9 October, include extending the town's boundaries to encourage growth, as well as the improved public transport facilities and more options for cyclists and walkers.
RBWM leader and member of PRoM, David Burbage, said: "Feedback at this stage will help us form the preferred options for the Area Action Plan (AAP) and then later this year we will be putting those to our community again for their views before we submit the final draft to the secretary of state in the spring."
