Maidstone centre reopens
Maidstone Leisure Centre has reopened following a £4m revamp.
The project, undertaken by ISG, included the creation of a two-storey, 500sq m fitness suite equipped by Life Fitness; two new exercise studios; a new toddler play pool with interactive water features and new swimming pool changing facilities.
Life Fitness has installed more than 70 stations of Elevation Inspire CV, Signature Strength series resistance equipment. Designed in the Life Fitness Journey layout, members are encouraged to use zones dedicated to different muscle groups and fitness levels.
The layout is also designed to be conducive to group training and includes a free weights section and circuit series equipment.
The revamp took just over six months to complete and was funded by Maidstone Borough Council.
The centre will be managed by Maidstone Leisure Trust and its managing agent Serco Leisure.
