Mandarin Oriental launches internship
The spa arm of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG) has joined up with the US-based training facility the Cortiva Institute and the Frederique Academy to launch a new internship programme for spa graduates.
Called the Frederique Academy Fast Track, the programme will offer new graduates the opportunity to enter the spa industry in Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China via a three-month long internship. It has been designed to act as a bridge from the classroom-based training to the working environment of a spa.
Individuals targeted by MOHG will be proactive students who show potential for success and have the necessary aptitude to become future Mandarin Oriental Spa Therapists.
MOHG is also looking for partners in both Europe and South Africa, with view to eventually extending the programme to these regions. It has also recently launched an 18-month long spa management trainee programme.
