Mandarin Oriental to expand portfolio
The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG) is to expand its international portfolio with three new properties, each including a spa.
The first to open will be the Mandarin Oriental (MO), Sanya, an exclusive 297-room resort on China’s second largest island, Hainan, which will launch early in 2008.
MO, Sanya, will feature a 34,444sq ft (3,200sq m) spa, complete with 18 treatment suites, as well as eight couple’s and two VIP villas with heat and water experiences plus outdoor gardens for open-air therapies.
The other two properties, the MO, Milan hotel in Italy and the MO, Marbella resort and residences in Spain will both open in 2010.
The spa at MO, Milan will offer signature programmes created exclusively by Mandarin Oriental as well as significant water and heat therapies.
The 29,062sq ft (2,700sq m) spa at the Marbella residences will include 11 private treatment rooms and relaxation areas.
