Mandarin’s worldwide development continues
The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced that it will manage the Madarin Oriental Barcelona in Spain.
The 144-bedroom hotel is due to open in late 2007. It is currently being developed by the Reig Capital Group – a private Andorran investment company – and Yabu Pushelburg interior designers.
In addition, the US$140m (£81m, 116m euro) interior refurbishment of the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong is scheduled to be completed this autumn.
The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group currently operates 21 hotels, with a further nine under development worldwide. Details: www.mandarinoriental.com
