Mapledurham expands offer

Mapledurham Golf and Heath Club has invested £1m to expand its health and fitness provision.

Acquired by Clubhaus in 1999, the gym first opened in February 2000 with an aerobic studio, sauna and spa bath. The expansion programme has seen the gym extended to 3,600sq ft, a third studio built for group cycling and the launch of a swimming pool. Extensions have also been made to the changing rooms and car parking facilities.

With currently around 2,500 members, the expansion has increased the club’s capacity by a further 1,000.

The introduction of a pool also means the facility can target families and a children’s membership package is currently being developed to offer use of the crèche and all wet facilities for £16 per month.
