Marathon children's centre opens
The London Marathon Playing for Success centre (PfS) has been opened at Morpeth School in Tower Hamlets, London.
Designed to attract the area's disaffected 10 to 14-year-olds, the centre will use sport as a means of motivating children and preventing anti-social behaviour.
The facility will be open during out of school hours and is managed by a centre manager, supported by tutor/mentors and other support staff.
The centre will be funded by London Marathon Ltd.
