Margate plans referred to full council
Thanet District Council's (TDC) full council will decide the fate of plans for the mixed-use Arlington development in Margate, following a decision by its planning committee.
The scheme is earmarked to include a 60-bedroom hotel overlooking the seafront, as well as bars or restaurants; a superstore; offices; and retail units.
Members of the planning committee had been due to consider the effect of reclassifying the listing of the resort's Scenic Railway to Grade II* status on the Arlington plans.
The planning application for Arlington House and 1-50 Arlington Square will now go before the full council.
