Marriott completes £120m revamp
Marriott Hotels has completed a redevelopment programme that saw 38 of its UK hotels being upgraded.
The 18-month, £120m project included the refurbishment of 5,000 bedrooms, the introduction of 31 new restaurants and bars, and refurbishment work on 300 meeting rooms. Thirteen major function spaces have also been upgraded and seven leisure facilities improved.
The largest individual investments in the programme were the £10m revamp of the London Marriott Hotel Regent’s Park and the £5.1m makeover of the Tudor Park Hotel & Country Club in Maidstone.
Greg Dwyer, Marriott's director of marketing, commented: "The revamp programme has been a huge undertaking. The investment is significant, but we know that the programme has delivered exemplary, market-leading hotels that will enable us to both maintain and expand our customer base.”
