Marriott on the beach in Florida
The first Residence Inn by Marriott in Florida, US has opened.
The Residence Inn Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach hotel has been converted from the recently built Ocean Sands Resort & Spa, the project involving a multi-million dollar renovation that further upgraded all the suites and public spaces. The property is owned by a joint venture that includes Aztec Group, Mercury Investment and Concord Hospitality Enterprises. Concord oversaw the renovation and will continue to manage the property.
Located within what are said to be 100 steps of the sea's edge, the hotel offers a combination of luxury over-sized studios and one- and two-bedroom suites ranging in size between 560-981sq ft (52-91sq m), all with views of the Atlantic Ocean. The resort also features a fully-equipped fitness centre with more than 20 pieces of equipment, two swimming pools, and a 20,000sq ft (1,858sq m) Ocean Sands Spa. The spa offers a full range of treatments including body exfoliations, water rituals, massage therapy, eastern therapies, body wraps, facial rejuvenation, advanced skin therapy, exfoliating facial treatments, skin enhancements, hand care, foot care, day spa packages, hair care, waxing services and health and fitness activities.
Other on-site amenities include a business centre and sundries shop, while Oceano, a new, full-service bistro and lounge, will open later this month and offer a menu to include a number of Brazilian signature items.
