Martin brothers to open Sloane Square site
Brothers Tom and Ed Martin, owners of a chain of London-based gastropubs, will be open their sixth venue in Sloane Square next year.
The 2,500 sq ft, site, formerly called Royal Court Tavern, will have 80 covers serving seasonal British and will open throughout the day for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and supper.
Tom Martin said “We have secured a prestigious location for our sixth outlet and to have beaten off such stiff competition from much larger, longer established companies.”The bar and dining room is due to open in late February 2008.
Other sites in the brothers’ fledgling empire include the Gun, The Empress of India, The Well, The White Swan and the soon to be opened Prince Arthur in London Fields.
