Masala Chai Concentrate from Rishi Tea
Rishi Tea has unveiled a new Masala Chai Concentrate tea in support of the Roots and Shoots Programme, founded by the British conservationist Dame Jane Goodall.
The new organic tea is Fair Trade-certified and is a microbrewed blend of spices and vanilla, infused with a single origin, forest-grown black tea.
Proceeds from each sale will go towards the Roots and Shoots programme, which Goodall started in 1991 and now boasts more than 8,000 groups in nearly 100 countries. The scheme's aim is to provide learning projects that promote care and concern for animals, the environment and the human community.
Rishi's founder and president, Joshua Kaiser, said: "Promoting biodiversity, preserving soil and species and preventing erosion is critical to sustaining the environment but few large-scale tea farms work to this aim.
"Rishi's direct trade of sustainable forest tea is a market driven solution for environmental conservation and pairs well with what the Roots and Shoots programme is all about."
