Maybo recognised by City & Guilds
Conflict management consultancy Maybo has become the first organisation to have its courses on violence prevention accredited by City & Guilds.
Edwina McQueen, head of business development for City & Guilds, said: “More employers with facing external customers are waking up to the need for sound conflict management training in order to equip their staff with the skills they need to deflect and defuse verbal or physical abuse.”
Maybo’s courses cover a range of skills that can improve safety for frontline staff, including assessing dangerous situations and how to defuse potential incidents.
Managers are taught how to establish safer policies and working practices which will minimise risks to staff and give them maximum support.
Bill Fox, Maybo’s chair, said: “All individuals on our training courses will now have the added kudos that Maybo’s conflict management training is accredited by City & Guilds, strengthening professional development portfolios and CVs.”
City & Guild’s accreditation procedures look at several aspects of the training and the training provider, including management structure, training objectives and evaluation procedures.
