Mayor and San Diego Chargers hold stadium talks
San Diego mayor Jerry Sanders and Dean Spanos, president of the San Diego Chargers American Football franchise, have met to discuss plans for a new city stadium.
Talks are underway over the potential development of the new stadium in downtown San Diego and the future of the National Football League's G3 loan programme. A meeting between Sanders and Spanos also looked at how the stadium scheme could be funded if G3 support was unavailable.
